The series of photograms titled Blue Fire refer to the phenomenon that occurs when sulfur, one of the alchemical elements representing the soul, burns creating a blue flame that resembles lava. The abstract shapes remain open to interpretation, but in fact they are the shadow forms of fallen leaves collected around the forest surroungind Aomori Contemporary Art Center.
