Ending Time 2015
Plast planters, perforated prints I Dimensions variable
This work is the result of an engagement with a series of dialogues titled The Ending of Time by philosopher J. Krishnamurti and physicist David Bohm. I walked the cemeteries listening to their exploration of the nature of humanity, the significance of death and the root of human conflict. During these walkalogues I collected disposable planters which were reanimated into a coherent whole. I then perforated the underlying geometry from each planter onto an inkjet print of its scanned image. The resulting ethereal hieroglyphs act as translations of the supernatural.
