An installation and performance inspired by the idea of quantum fluctuations. In quantum physics, a quantum fluctuation is the temporary appearance of energetic particles out of empty space, as allowed by the uncertainty principle. Inspired by the idea that dark matter is made of primordial black holes I create drawings in space by the repetitive use of tape and the effect of gravity. A cognitive dissonance is experienced by the viewer through an optical illusion that forces the mind to open itself to the potential of an alternate reality. I incorporate the subtle flow of light and air currents, as well as the sonic qualities of the material to bring them to life. The concept of fluctuation becomes a metaphor of the human mental landscape and the mystery of what it means to be human.
