Inspired by certain places in Mexico and the world called “foco tonal” which are considered energy portals. People visit them to deepen their meditation, to charge themselves energetically or even to heal. Drawing from indigenous knowledge systems and current scientific research on heart coherence, as well as in the potential of awe for creating transformative experiences, the exhibition presents a main spatial drawing that acts as the main energetic anchor or portal incorporating the use of VHS magnetic tape. My project conceived an imaginary collective act through which to open a foco tonal in the Museum. A collaboration with a hypnotherapist and a musician enabled the visitors to be sensitized and follow an exercise of concentration and intention in order to achieve this.
