This series transfers the content of old VHS tapes containing family memories to a set of drawings where the gesture becomes more intuitive and, in contrast to the series Until I disappear, more uncontrolled. It is a kind of portrait of fragmentation: a reflection on how memory, identity, and the self are drawn, erased, and redrawn. Curiously, the set of graphic marks evokes forests: places whose darkness, complexity, and impenetrable nature reflect the chaotic nature of the unconscious. In Jungian psychology, forests and jungles symbolize precisely the unconscious, representing both the unknown, mysterious, and chaotic aspects of the psyche and its source of life, growth, and transformation.
