These drawings are made by repetitively pasting and removing VHS tape onto adhesive tape mounted on paper through what I call micro-gestures. These rigorous, repetitive gestures are used as a contemplative practice in an attempt to empty the mind. The resulting unique graphic marks or micro-imprints made by a simple systematic action could be considered in themselves miniature drawings, and are an invitation explore the cosmic in the micro. Some appear as starry skies, some as lines similar to those found on stones or granite. A simple act or removal renders forms reminiscent of nature and serves as a reminder that we are nature.
