Tsugaru sakiori weaving   I   VHS magnetic tape, cotton thread   I   40 x 70 cm

Textile work made in collaboration with local weaver Asako Murakami which repurposes old VHS tapes in order to weave novelty into an old tradition (sakiori). In both cases experimentation with materials engages the body in an act of deep listening to the voice of things.

Lava is a contemporary installation exploring volcanic processes, fluid matter, energy systems, and geological transformation through abstract spatial composition. The work connects material flow, heat dynamics, and installation art structures. Keywords: lava art, installation art, fluid abstraction, geological processes, material transformation, spatial systems.
